Recliner Headrest

Last and most common of the Spitfire seats. Often fitted to earlier cars by owners for comfort and safety.

What to look for...

Low seat back
Headrest on centre oval metal stem (often jammed)
Headrest bracket at top of seat back frame
Silver recliner handle on outside of seat back
Seat back cover secured with side stiffener boards
Tilt latch mechanism on rear of seat back
Bottom 2 seat back webbing hook onto wires
Single piece cushion in wire basket
L/R - seat back leans over transmission tunnel
L/R - cushion basket thinner over transmission tunnel
