Friday 10 October 2025 - Triumph Beige Returns!

I have found a reliable source for an excellent copy of the classic Triumph Beige vinyl.

Beige was the most popular of the coloured vinyls in the Spitfire and GT6. It made your interior stand out from the usual black and hinted at the luxury of leather upholstery.

I can make my entire catalogue from this vinyl, so you can have doors that match your seats, armrest, radio housing... the whole interior.

Friday 3 October 2025 - USA Customs Pre-Payment

Nick contacted me from the USA. The news was full of customs holdups and confusion in the amounts people were being charged to bring products into the USA. Naturally he was concerned, and wondered if there was anything we could do to avoid this.

Fortunately some couriers are now offering CUSTOMS PRE-PAYMENT FOR THE USA, also known as 'Delivery Duty Paid' or DDP. It's been working for European deliveries for a couple of years, and now the USA has it too. This allows you to the parcel to be waved through customs without any delays, and without the courier contacting your for payment.

The result was that UPS collected the parcel on Thursday 25 September and Nick was opening it on Monday 29 September.

Here's how it worked:

• Nick sent me an email explaining what he wanted plus his shipping details.

• I worked out the price of the goods, plus the size and weight of the box.

• I contacted the courier, who calculated how much the customs fees & taxes (DDP).

• I sent Nick an online payment request for the cost of the goods AND the DDP.

• Nick paid the full amount by card.

• The courier collected the parcel and delivered it to Nick's door without fuss.
